Letters: A presidential debate debate

Wednesday night's U.S. presidential debate was the most tweeted about event in American political history, dwarfing records set by the RNC and DNC.I find it interesting that the pundits from both sides of the political spectrum have rushed to dub Mitt Romney's performance during the first debate as presidential and commanding. However, had Hillary Clinton used his same tenor and tone during herNearly 60 million people tuned in on Oct. 3 to watch the first presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. There will be three more debates before election day on Nov. 6. Here's the schedule:During Wednesdayís debate with President Barack Obama, Romney called for cutting federal funding to PBS, despite saying, ìI love Big Bird.î It renewed a long-running debate over subsidies to public broadcasting. ìIím going to stop the subsidy to PBS,îWednesday night's U.S. presidential debate was the most tweeted about event in American political history, dwarfing records set by the RNC and DNC.
