Pigeon Forge Fire Smolders After Monday Rain

Sevier County fire crews are battling a massive fire in Pigeon Forge that has affected more than two dozen cabins.

(CNN) — A fast-moving wildfire consumed more than 200 acres and engulfed dozens of mountain homes outside the resort town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, threatening visitors and locals alike. The fire sparked at about 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and at one time burned across 135 acres. Pigeon Forge Fire Department called the fire contained, but not controlled. Crews reduced the blaze to half it's size Monday morning. Sevier County Communications
