Charles Schwab Besieged by DDoS Attacks - Mashable

Charles Schwab Corporation (NYSE:SCHW) announced its quarterly results on April 15, and reported a y-o-y increase of 8.5% in its revenues. The increase was driven primarily by asset management and administration fees

Charles Schwab Corp. (SCHW) was hit with a "denial of service" attack to its website Wednesday, the second straight day clients of the discount brokerage were unable to place online trades, though the company says the site is now functioning normally.

Muted trading activity and higher expenses keep the firm's results just shy of analyst estimates.

Shortly before 4 p.m. EDT Tuesday, Schwab was hit with an "exceptionally high volume" of website traffic. Denial of service attacks cause service disruptions by creating a high amount of online activity that often render websites slow and unusable
