Many towns around Delaware ushered in Easter Sunday with services held at sunrise. One of those was next to the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach. People gathered in the shadow of Dolle's before dawn this year. The crowd that gathered in the dark did so

Rockaway Beach, a Queens neighborhood hit hard by Hurricane Sandy in October, is still rough around the edges. Five months later, houses near the water look abandoned, and the boardwalk is still in shambles.

AVALON- Avalon Borough Council is considering funding a study to find alternative methods such as building groins to slow sand erosion from north end beaches extending the time between beach renourishments and offering greater protection from storms.

This was "Semana Santa", Holy Week, when we are supposed to do penance for our sins and prepare for the major Catholic Holiday of Easter. Instead, too many of us hit the beach in a display of secular serious partying
