Report: NBA approves deal sending Doc Rivers from Celtics to Clippers

The Doc Rivers saga between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics continued anew on Sunday, when the on-again-off-again talks progressed to the point of near-completion — if not clarity. NBA officials have already let their voice be heard on

The Celtics have agreed to a deal to send Doc Rivers to Los Angeles, and could replace Rivers with president of basketball operations Danny Ainge.

Doc Rivers will indeed be heading to the Clippers for a 2015 first-round pick, pending league approval. However, the league is unlikely to allow Kevin Garnett to join him, SB Nation reports.
