GoDaddy Says Its Troubles Were Not Hacker-Related

The person behind the Twitter account @AnonymousOwn3r took responsibility for the attack and said all of GoDaddy's servers were knocked out with what is known as a distributed denial of service attack, or DDoS attack, in which a site is flooded withShortly after GoDaddy's services stopped working Tuesday, Twitter user @AnonymousOwn3r, who claimed to be the “security leader of anonymous,” took responsibility for the outage in a video posted on YouTube. @AnonymousOwn3r later stated that theGoDaddy, the Web services company, said that its extensive technical problems on Monday were a result of internal issues, not an attack by a supporter of Anonymous, the loose confederation of rogue hackers.
