ABC's 'Sound of Music' ratings up 22% over 2011

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- ABC's Sunday-night rebroadcast of holiday movie perennial "The Sound of Music" generated a 22% ratings improvement over last year's telecast among adults 18 to 49 years old, according to preliminary Nielsen data covering the"The Sound of Music" opened on Broadway in 1959, the last musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
