'Sharknado' keeps TV real

This week, thanks to summer boredom and the release of short trailer that gave away all the movie's goofy-gory highlights, #SharkNado became a trending topic.

SyFy is airing original made-for-TV movie "Sharknado" July 11 at 9 p.m. Check out the trailer.

The Shark-A-Rine is suddenly relevant again because of the new SyFy movie Sharknado — an actual movie about when “super tornadoes suck sharks up from the ocean floor, hurling them at L.A.” because sure, what else could it be about. Also, Tara Reid.

Word of the disaster first came, as is the case with every disaster these days, from witnesses. Horrified by what they were seeing, they reached for their keyboards and smartphones and warned their family members and friends. They called it “Sharknado.”.

Sharknado | Syfy, 9 ET/PT. Not that there's necessarily something wrong with juvenile pleasures, mind you. After all, what could be more silly and childish than a movie about a super-tornado that sucks sharks out of the ocean and scatters them around
